James P. Daley
Jim served for thirty-six years in the law department of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company, including seventeen years as General Counsel, before founding Daley & Mohan, P.C. in 1995. From 1982 to 1995, he also held the office of Senior Vice President – Law, Labor and Real Estate of the C&NW.
As General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Jim had ultimate responsibility for legal matters of all types, including tort claims, labor issues, environmental matters and all sales and leases of railroad real estate. He supervised an in-house legal staff whose success was unprecedented in the railroad industry, as well as outside counsel in ten Midwestern states.
Since entering private practice, Jim has concentrated on litigation of substantial commercial and casualty disputes. He also serves as an arbitrator in major commercial cases between Fortune 500 companies.
